As part of a series of events to mark the 30th anniversary of Faslane Peace Camp, Scottish CND are encouraging people to go to the North Gate of Faslane to support a vigil from 4 pm to 5 pm on Wednesday 13 June. We will have our new banner “Scotland: No Place for Nuclear Weapons”. Faslane Peace Camp, Helensburgh CND and Trident Ploughsharse hold a vigil at this time every Wednesday.
If you’ve never been to Faslane before, this (or the activities below) would be a good opportunity to see it.
Other events as part of the Peace Camp anniversary include:
Sunday 17 June – Picnic at the North Gate from 12 noon to 4 pm, organised by Helensburgh CND. Jeely Peace Cafe provided by Stirling CND.
Thursday 21 June / Saturday 23 June – Peace March from Glasgow to Faslane, leaving George Square Glasgow at 12 noon on 21 June.
Sunday 1 July / Monday 2 July – Rise Up Singing, organised by Trident Ploughshares – riseupsinging.tp@gmail.com
