Planting ceremony Redstone Wynd & Fir Tree place

Today I visited North Ayrshire council’s latest build project which will Provide 46 new homes in Kilwinning.  Housing services have done a really good job of incorporating the natural surroundings into the project.  The team have worked with the Scottish Wildlife Trust to link with neighbouring Corsehillmuir wood with a new footpath which runs alongside the burn on the boundary of the site.

At the side of the path Bluebells donated by North Ayrshire Council’s Streetscene team and grown by pupils from Corsehill Primary School’s Gardening Club, as well as members of the Enable Hazledene Horticultural Social Enterprise were planted today.  The children were very, enthusiastic, able and worked away very diligently.

These are really high quality new homes and the attention and care given to the environmental works will make this a really lovely place to live.
