RUTH MAGUIRE MSP CONGRATULATES LOCAL BUSINESS ON INNOVATIVE CHARITY WORK

Cunninghame South MSP, Ruth Maguire, today lodged a parliamentary motion drawing attention to the excellent and innovative charity work taking place in the community in a joint project between the Games Centre in Irvine and the Trussell Trust foodbank.

‘That the Parliament commends the Games Centre in Irvine on its innovative use of the augmented-reality craze, Pokémon Go, to develop a Pokémon-themed charity walk; understands that trainers are invited to “bring a tin” to support the Trussell Trust foodbank in exchange for participating in a guided walk around the area’s Pokéstops; congratulates the centre on its recent second successful such event, and wishes it all the best with its future Pokémon charity walks.’
