This busy week, Ruth:
- Delivered a keynote address at a Tackling Domestic Abuse conference
- Presented the award for ‘international growth of the year’ at the Business Women Scotland awards ceremony
- Attended the meeting of the Local Government and Communities Committee, where focus was on the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland’s 5th Electoral Review
- Supported her colleage Alison Thewliss in her campaign to #scraptherapeclause
- Met with Stephen of Step Change Debt Charity who helps constituents in Cunninghame South
- Was appointed Convenor of the Cross Party Group on Credit Unions
- Was appointed Depute Convenor of the Cross Party Group on Kurdistan
- Asked Cabinet Secretary for Communities, Social Security and Equalities, Angela Constance, a question about funeral poverty in the Chamber
- Submitted a motion congratulating Irvine clergymen, Reverend Neil Urqhart and Father Willie Boyd, on being honoured as Champions for Change
