KILWINNING DOG WELFARE COMMUNITY DAY SUCCESS

On Monday 11th September, around 50 locals and their beloved pooches came along to the free dog welfare day at Woodwynd Community Centre in Kilwinning – staged by local MSP, Ruth Maguire, and the Dogs Trust.

Dogs Trust experts were on hand throughout the day to provide free microchipping, free basic health checks, free information leaflets, and free health and training advice.

Commenting, SNP MSP for Cunninghame South, Ruth Maguire, said:

“It was great to see so many folk come along and take advantage of the expertise of the Dogs Trust and have their pets microchipped – as is now required by law.

If anyone missed the opportunity this time, I am staging another dog welfare event with the Dogs Trust on Monday 9th October between 11am and 3pm at Hayocks Hall in Stevenston.

I am grateful to the Dogs Trust for coming along to share their expertise and make the day such a success – and it would be great to see as many people in Stevenston on 9th October as we saw in Kilwinning today.”
