This week, Ruth has:
- Lent her support to the Member’s Bill of Green MSP, John Finnie, which aims to give children equal protection from assualt
- Voted to ban fracking in Scotland
- Met with HIV Scotland to discuss issues around the Social Security Bill
- In Education Committee, taken evidence from a range of people and organisations on the Children and Young People (Information Sharing) (Scotland) Bill, including Police Scotland and the Care Inspectorate
- In Social Security Committee, taken evidence from a range of people and organisations on aspects of the Social Security Bill relating to carers and older people
- Become elected as co-convenor on the Cross Party Group on Kurdistan
- Attended a presentation by journalist and broadcaster David Pratt about the situtaiton in Iraqi Kurdistan
- Caught up with the Scottish Women’s Convention and reaffirmed her support to end demand for Commercial Sexual Exploitation
- Secured concrete action on road safety concerns around the A737 at Dalgarven
