Ruth’s week in the Scottish Parliament (18-20 Sept 2018)

Last week in the Scottish Parliament, Ruth contributed to three debates, and also asked a question at First Minister’s Questions.

On Tuesday 18th September, Ruth spoke in a members business debate about the UN International Day of Peace 2018, which this year focussed on the theme “The Right to Peace—The Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 70”.

On Wednesday 19th September, Ruth contributed to a debate celebrating 10 years of BBC Alba. Ruth gave her speech in Gaelic, but a transcript and translation are available via this link.

On Thursday 20th September, Ruth asked the First Minister whether Theresa May’s proposals about Brexit were serious proposals, or just seriously misguided:

Finally, Ruth also contributed to a debate on Thursday entitled ‘Violence Reduction in Scotland: Progress and Future Priorities’.

Transcriptions of all of Ruth’s contributions can be found in the Scottish Parliament’s Official Report
