Progressive Policies to Support Children and Families

On the SNP’s progressive policies, design to help and support children and families, Ruth Maguire SNP for Cunninghame South said:

“Lets make Scotland the best place to grow up for all our children.

Re-elect an SNP Government and we will keep doing everything we can to make that vision a reality.  With ambitious and progressive policies to support children and families.

A baby box for every new born, packed with essential items needed in the first six months of life.

The most generous, high quality early learning and childcare offer anywhere in the UK.

We will provide a device for every school pupil in Scotland. for use at school and at home.  To tackle the digital divide and open the electronic world to every child in Scotland.

At primary school we will be providing all pupils with a nutritious breakfast and lunch, to fuel their learning.

The Scottish Child Payment was already described as a game changer, in our national mission to end child poverty.  If re-elected the SNP will double this payment.  This and other measures are about offering practical help but they also speak to the kind of country we want to be.  The kind of future we want to have.

Scotland’s future must be Scotland’s choice.  If you agree, please make it #BothVotesSNP on 6 May.”
