Ruth was out and about in Cunninghamhead yesterday to let residents know about a Scottish Government consultation on the Mobile Homes Act 1983.
The Scottish Government wants to make sure that the protections relating to pitch fee uprating for permanent residents of residential mobile homes remain fair, appropriate and in line with development of statistical measures.
This is of particular importance in light of recent increases in the cost of living. They are therefore gathering views about a possible change from Retail Prices Index (RPI) to Consumer Prices Index (CPI) as the measure for pitch fee uprating under the Mobile Homes Act 1983 and options for implementing the change.
Please share your views with the Scottish Government, if you are effected by mobile home pitch fees by completing the consultation, which can be accessed here.
Hear what Ruth had to say about the uprating of pitch fees for mobile home owners in a previous debate last year.
