This April 30th, Ruth and her team will be participating in Kiltwalk Glasgow, where they will be completing the ‘Mighty Stride’. The ‘Mighty Stride’ is a 23-mile walk from the iconic Glasgow Green to the beautiful Balloch, Loch Lomond. Ruth has chosen to support the local charity, Break The Silence, where all contributions will be donated directly to them via our Just Giving page, which you can find here.
Break The Silence makes a profound and positive difference in the lives of those affected by sexual trauma. They understand that every individual is different. They will listen and work collaboratively with Clients at their own pace, facilitating positive change through healing to challenge the effects of sexual trauma and assist post-traumatic growth. Break the Silence supports people of all genders aged 13+ across East and North Ayrshire. The demand for their support is increasing, as are the costs of service delivery.
By taking part in Kiltwalk, we aim to increase awareness of this vital service, help to challenge the inequalities experienced by people affected by sexual trauma and to raise much-needed funds to provide professional counselling services for those in need. Break The Silence has never been more needed, and your donation is gratefully received. Changing lives with every step.
We respect and acknowledge that with the cost-of-living crisis, some people won’t be able to afford the extra expense for donations, but whatever you can spare will be going to an amazing cause. If you are unable to donate, you can help by sharing our post and increasing awareness, which is also invaluable.
You can donate to the cause via this link; Just Giving Sponsorship.
