It was a real pleasure to visit 1st Irvine guides on Wednesday 25th June. The young women had written to me as part of their citizenship work and shared some of their concerns about the area. We had a really good discussion about litter and the environment, outdoor play and safety. I came away with plenty work to do and an idea for a campaign the girls will assist with in the future.
Their last meeting of the session was to be a sausage sizzle but unfortunately the weather was unkind so it was loom bands, henna tattoos and nail art indoors – just as much fun a very enjoyable evening with bright, funny young women. Thanks for having me!
